Important Race Update (August 11th): The course notes for the Island event have been released and are available here! The weather is looking sunny and hot for Saturday. The Islands are a great place to bring the family along to stay and enjoy the park after the race.

Come and join us for the 2010 Why Just Run? series finale on the Toronto Islands!

Only minutes from downtown Toronto, the Islands offer a vast array of features to add excitement to the race environment. The adventure begins with a breezy ferry ride across the harbour. Racers will then have the opportunity to visit the many beautiful naturalized and open areas, wildlife reserves, beaches, marinas and recreational areas during the race.

Be sure to appreciate the impressive panoramic view of Toronto’s skyline along the way. The Toronto islands having been providing a “get-a-way from the city” destination for over a century.

Definitely a race not to be missed!

Directions: You can get to the race by taking the Centre Island Ferry from the Toronto Ferry Docks. The ferries run every 30 mins starting at 8:00 am.

The main entrance to the Toronto Ferry Docks is located at the foot of Bay St on Queens Quay. Enter via the walkway between Harbour Castle Westin Hotel and Harbour Castle condominiums. Parking is available 1 block north, east or west.

If you are taking the TTC, from union station take the 509 Harbourfront or the 510 Spadina streetcar south to the Bay and Queen's Quay Stop. Alternately, take the Bay Bus #6 southbound from the corner of Front and Bay to the Bay and Queen's Quay stop.

The registration area will be located at the Centreville Picnic area #10, directly opposite the ferry docks when you get off the Centre Island Ferry.
