2010 Beginner Clinic Schedule

Interested in orienteering but don't know where/how to start? Come on out to our next Beginner's Clinic.  We'll show you how to use a compass, how to read an orienteering map and walk with you through an orienteering course.  You'll also get an Introduction to Orienteering book

Cost: $30.00 person (includes map, instructions and Introduction to Orienteering book.) Discount of $10 for TOC Members.
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Note that there are limited spots per session. Pre-registration by email is required, the day before the intended clinic, to guarantee your spot. Drop-in registration will be accepted if there are spots available, but there is no guarantee.
Location:All clinics are held in conjunction with the Wednesday Night Park Series, and will be held at the same locations. The Park Series is held a different GTA park every week. Check the Park Series schedule for locations by date.
Schedule:

Clinics will be held on the following dates in 2010.

  • Apr 14th at Etienne Brule (Lower Humber)
  • Apr 25th at Claireville Conservation Area (with the Mob Match)
  • June 2nd at Earl Bales Park
  • June 26th at Erindale Park (with the Summer Orienteering and BBQ event)
  • July 28th at E.T. Seton Park
  • What to wear:Regular running or comfortable walking shoes. Long pants are recommended.
    Compass:Bring your own compass, if you have one, or we'll loan you one for the session.
