This is an OFSAA Sanctioned Event.
| Date: | Wednesday, May 13, 2009 |
| Location: | Heart Lake Conservation Area - located on Heart Lake Road in the northern part of Brampton, Ontario.
From Hwy 401, take Hwy 410 northbound and travel north into Brampton going past Bovaird Boulevard and exit westbound onto Sandlewood Parkway.
Travel 500m west and turn north on Heart Lake Road. The conservation area entrance is 600m north on the west side of the road.
Follow the road west for 250m into the conservation area. Then follow the road north for 1km passing Green Acres
and continuing until you reach Lakemount which is the last parking lot.
Park and disembark. This is the registration area and the finish area.. |
| Type: | Cross-country, point-to-point, school orienteering meet. |
| Time: | 10:00 a.m. to 2.15 p.m. First start at 11.00 a.m. Arrive not later than 10.30 a.m. in case you are scheduled for an 11.00 a.m. start. Start times will be posted at the site. Awards ceremony from 2:00 to 2:15 pm. |
| Eligibility: | Open to students throughout the Province of Ontario. Your age class is your age as of Dec 31, 2008

| Map: | 1:10,000 (1 cm = 100 m), 5 m contours, 5 colours, new 2002, map case included.
Maps will be pre-marked with courses for those who register by the deadline. Late registrants will have to copy courses from master maps in the start area after they have started their course.

| Entry Fees: |
$6.50 for one individual (one map with control descriptions, one control card).
$13.00 for one pair (two maps with control descriptions, one control card).
Note that individuals and pairs compete in the same categories. Triples are possible but NOT encouraged.
Conservation Area entrance fee of $2.25 per competitor is INCLUDED in the meet fee. (no charge for organizers, teachers) |
| Cancellation due to weather: | Orienteering is an all weather sport. We never cancel a school meet because of the weather. Dress appropriately and bring a change of clothes. |
| Total number of entries: | Total entries will be restricted to 160 team entries (singles, pairs or triples). |
| Registration: | New in 2009, schools can register online!
Payment can be made using either a credit card or by cheque.
