Vampire-O 2010, Darlington Provincial Park

Get into the Halloween spirit with this night Score-O with a bite! Bring a head-lamp or flashlight. Costumes encouraged, garlic is forbidden!.

This is a great event for families, Scout, Cub and Guide groups! We make sure everyone gets a prize!

Date:Saturday October 30th, 2010
Time: Registration starting at 6:00 pm
Mass Start at dusk (approx 6:45 pm)
Map:Darlington Provincial Park (Scale - 1:7500, Contours - 5m)
Meet Director/ Course Setter: Clive Hayhow
Format:Night Score Event - participants will visit as many controls in any order within a 60 minute time limit. There will be several special controls on the course to grab some extra goodies and prizes!
Terrain:Ghostly. Ghoulish. Some watery graves, some children-swallowing streams, kid-eating trees (pines and deciduous), howling werewolves (domesticated canines), open fields of despair, cemeteries (pets and others), haunted houses (scary!).

Rumour has it Darlington Provincial Park is built on an ancient native Burial Site.

Cost:Adults - $12 until Oct 25th, $15 on race day
Juniors - $10 until Oct 25th, $13 on race day
Seniors - $10 until Oct 25th, $13 on race day
Family (max 2 adults, plus all kids in the same house) - $24 max until Oct 25th, $30 on race day
Groups - $8 each until Oct 25th, $10 on race day

Group registration discount is available for youth organizations (scouts, cubs, guides, etc)
Directions:From Toronto, take Hwy 401 East and exit at Courtice Road (Exit 425). Turn right (south) on Courtice Road and take the first right (Darlington Park Road) into Darlington Provincial Park.
Park near the Park Office. Watch for Orienteering signs!

Please drive carefully and watch out for little ghosts and goblins once you are in the park.
