The Toronto Orienteering Club and the Ukrainian Orienteering

in the Ganaraska Forest and nearby Darlington Provincial Park.

The Medium and Long events of the Eastern Canadian and Ontario Championships
will take place at the far western edges of Ganaraska Forest in areas that have
not been used for orienteering in over 30 years. The area is on the Oak Ridges
Moraine with sandy soil leading to many intricate contours, and very few water
and rock features. The terrain is mixed deciduous and planted pine coniferous
forest with a moderate path system throughout the area.
The Sprint will take place at Darlington Provincial Park, near Bowmanville. The
park offers a generous mix of open area and mixed forest. Immediately following
the Sprint, members of the National Team will be hosting a Fundraiser BBQ at
Darlington.
