  2008 Wednesday Evening Park Meets

The Toronto Orienteering Club invites you to come out to our Wednesday Evening Park Meets series of orienteering events in Toronto city parks. These informal, low-key meets are designed for the orienteering beginner as well as for the more advanced orienteer. If you've never orienteered before, someone will be on-hand to show you the basics. (Beginner Clinics are also available at some Wednesday events.) Come and see how easy it is to start orienteering and enjoy the outdoors this summer. You'll discover how interesting our many beautiful city parks can be while getting some good exercise.

New for 2008! We are introducing Sprint-O and Score-O events to complement the traditional Classic-O Wednesday Series. This will give members who can not make it to a weekend event an opportunity to try out the different formats of Orienteering available! We are also introducing a self monitoring series championship for those who wish to add a little friendly competition to their training runs!

Registration starts at 6:15 p.m. at the event site (rain or shine.) We have never cancelled an event due to inclement weather! See below for a map to the event sites.

Costs

* OOA Full Members is a full member of an orienteering club other than TOC that is affiliated with the Orienteering Ontario Association, the Canadian Orienteering Federation or the International Orienteering Federation.

** Anyone participating must have at least an OOA Basic Membership. This membership is included in the cost of your first Wednesday meet.
